Caught in a Land I've Made
I live on the outskirts of two different towns, neither my home.
Caught in a land I've made
Halfway from life and halfway from grave
They don't get it, neither of the two. Except for maybe a handful of you
Caught in the land I've made
Halfway from life and halfway from grave
Did I spend all of my life to be here?
Caught between what I believe and who I am
Caught in a land that I won't leave until you come get me.
So I walk this way and that
And scream at the sky for the load on my back
Of precious stones
And metals that make silver of gold
Did I spend all of my life to be here?
Caught between what I believe and who I am
Caught in a land that I won't leave until you come get me.
I have no eyes left to see
And I have no limbs left to give, to save me
Oh that I could do without
Take my heart. I'll carve it out
Come get me.
