Tom Moore at The 11th Annual Deland Original Music Festival

So, I finally got my specific show times for the 11th Annual Deland Original Music Festival. Just in case you haven't heard, the Deland Music Festival is coming back around on November 5th this year. The festival boasts over 200 acts on 30 stages in Historic Downtown Deland. Very cool, indeed! I'm looking forward to this year's event because, in addition to my solo performance, I will also be doing a set with my high-intensity indie alternative band On the Soap Box (OTSB). Some of my favorite local area bands are going to be there too.

Here's the skinny: The festival is all day, from 1pm-2am. Both OTSB and myself are performing on "Free Entry" stages. So, you can come see us for free! But if you want access to the entire festival you will have to buy a ticket. Tickets are $15 at the gate or you can get them ahead of time for $10 on the festival website. If you get them online ahead of time, make sure you put in "Tom Moore" under Band/Act Referral....that'll help me out a bit. Click here to buy discounted tickets online.

Nico Globos

I must say, I am really beginning to feel right at home at Nico Globos. If you haven't stopped by to visit yet, you really should. The atmosphere is great and the people are really friendly. And the food is good too. For such a new restaurant it is getting quite a reputation. We have people visiting from all over the place that have heard about the restaurant just from word of mouth.

Maybe it sounds like I 'm pluggin the restaurant a lot. But in all honesty; I have performed at a number of different restaurants over the past year or so and, well........I am really enjoying my nights at Nico Globos. The guests are always very complimentary and the staff are so easy to get along with. I feel like a good fit for the little European Gastropub.

Anyway, I perform from 6pm-9pm every Friday night and from about 12pm-2pm on Sunday afternoons for the lunch crowd. Sometimes, I play a little later on Fridays. Like, for instance, when we have a crowd like we did last Friday night. My goodness! They wouldn't let me stop playing! But they were fun and made me laugh as they sang along. A good time was had by all.

And tonight.....? Recording in Deltona on my solo EP. More on that later

Misread

Check it out I just posted a recording I did at a recent show of the song "Misread" by Kings of Convenience. I used my new loop pedal to overdub the tracks while I performed.
