New Website Launch!

April 24th marks the launch of the NEW tommooremusic.com!

The new site is going to be sweet!

My sister (jdemonaco) has helped me put together a very visually pleasing and user-friendly site that will be the hub for all things Tom Moore music.

You'll be able to download all my music right from the page, see all my videos, connect with my other links and join my email address.

Don't worry, you'll still be able to follow my blog on blogspot.

But, I'm excited. It's the first time I've ever had a "real" website of my own. Swing your internet browser to www.tommooremusic.com on Saturday to take a peak and leave me a comment so I know you came.

find this even on facebook

Nico Globos

I must say, I am really beginning to feel right at home at Nico Globos. If you haven't stopped by to visit yet, you really should. The atmosphere is great and the people are really friendly. And the food is good too. For such a new restaurant it is getting quite a reputation. We have people visiting from all over the place that have heard about the restaurant just from word of mouth.

Maybe it sounds like I 'm pluggin the restaurant a lot. But in all honesty; I have performed at a number of different restaurants over the past year or so and, well........I am really enjoying my nights at Nico Globos. The guests are always very complimentary and the staff are so easy to get along with. I feel like a good fit for the little European Gastropub.

Anyway, I perform from 6pm-9pm every Friday night and from about 12pm-2pm on Sunday afternoons for the lunch crowd. Sometimes, I play a little later on Fridays. Like, for instance, when we have a crowd like we did last Friday night. My goodness! They wouldn't let me stop playing! But they were fun and made me laugh as they sang along. A good time was had by all.

And tonight.....? Recording in Deltona on my solo EP. More on that later

Recording with OTSB

You are familiar with my high-energy-jazz-inspired-indie-alternative band On the Soapbox (OTSB), right?

If not, you should take a listen. We've been recording recently and are hoping to have another full-length album out before too, too long. New material is always exciting.

Here is the official website address: www.OTSBmusic.com

Misread

Check it out I just posted a recording I did at a recent show of the song "Misread" by Kings of Convenience. I used my new loop pedal to overdub the tracks while I performed.

You can download the audio for free at my official homepage: www.tommooremusic.com
Just find my audio postings and click on mp3 and you can download it straight to your computer.

Blue Monk

If you have known me for any length of time, you have heard me play this arrangement of Blue Monk by Thelonious Monk. It has become a bit of a habitual thing that I do whenever I pick up a guitar.

I originally performed Blue Monk as a recital piece when I was at school for Jazz. My private guitar instructor wrote this arrangement. I love Jazz chord melody style guitar. One day I will get back to learning some other jazz standards.

But until then, for all of you that aren't already completely nauseated by my rendition of this tune: enjoy.

Mr. Gowrie

This song is amazing. Unlike anything that I've heard before. Charles Spearin uses the tones of an interview conversation to create an ambient melody loaded with reverb and delay.
